I thought everyone would like to see what takes most of my time away from art journaling! I've been long-arm machine quilting for quilters since 1998. My original plan was to quilt my own designs on my own quilts. I had visions of doing unbelievable thread pictures for my original art quilts..........But if you are a quilter or know a quilter, I bet you can figure out "the rest of the story"! Soon after I learned how to operate "the Beast" I started getting.......Jerrie, I'm in a crunch, could you PLEASE PLEASE quilt my quilt by......They're my friends, so of course I helped them out. Then it began. I started getting phone calls: Jerrie, so & so told me you machine quilt & I was wondering if you would do mine.....This has kept me so busy that I have NOT been able to piece a quilt top for myself for over 4 years! What was supposed to be something that I could earn extra $$$ after my DH retired turned out to be a full time job! Not that I'm objecting mind you, in todays economy it has really helped. It just happened a little bassackward in my plan of things! Funny........When my kids were growing up, I always wished I could find a stay at home job to earn extra dollars. I'm really glad now that I didn't! If you have a home business, you have it 24/7, 365 days a year. I would have lost precious time with them....Now, I'm really looking forward to being able to "retire" so I could devote my time to following my "Muse of the Moment"!

Court Jester - animation

The Magic of "Court Jester"

This is it!...I finally got an animation into Blogger. I really wanted to put it in the sidebar, but I have wasted the entire day trying to do so! I can at least get it into a post....but discovered you can't choose where to place it. Well, maybe you can, but right now my brain is totally fried. I feel that I did accomplish something though! It still remains to be seen if I remember how I did it tomorrow!

Have you ever wondered what your Art Journal pages will look like 100 years from now? I think that this would be a pretty good representation! O.K. O.K. I'll admit it...I just wanted to play with my new PS action! I'm a techno junkie, I just LOVE doo dads that do things in PS. I'm thinking that you'll probably see a lot of this kind of stuff on my blog in the future. At any rate, meet my muse "Oh My". She made her visible debut while I was taking Jessica's LTJ1 on-line class. The spider though, has been my creative symbol for at least 1/4 of a century!

I've fought LONG & HARD against starting a Blog. Why? The main reason being, I'm NOT a wordsmith. The words that make it on to a page, are totally different than the beautiful prose that was in my head. I started Art Journaling by taking Jessica Wesolek's (Cre8it.com) 1st LTJ on-line class in January of 2008. I've been un-stoppable ever since. It has become a passion with me. I know it's a passion because even after 1 year, I'm still lovin' & doing it! Sure, there are times that I don't or can't journal, but I always LOVE looking through what I've accomplished. So bear with me and my writing........I hope to make it up to you with what I get into! There isn't much to explore yet, but there will be!.........

Lets see if this will do photos!

Another Bee........

This is the 100th & the LAST time I'm going to try to do this. "This" is trying to get one of those photos I used the Scrap Girls action on to post without a white background. My brain is so fried that I know I'm not thinking straight & am probably making stupid errors! If you see this it worked! Well it didn't work....so I took it back to PS and turned the background to black. Tomorrow, I'm checking out if Blogger isn't taking PNG's anymore. Did a preview & the background is now black!..that is a good thing!
(TeeHee...I'm reviewing this post almost 1 year later than the original...and now I don't even have a clue as to what I was doing in the first place!)

BUMMER!

I spent most of yesterday morning trying to figure out how to use my new phones ability to send directly to Blogger..............NO SUCCESS! I eventually found the"issues" section in the help. T-Mobile is currently not supported by Blogger due something that T-Mobile changed on thier end....I sure hope they can fix it because I LOVE my new phone! I can still post phone pics, but I have to do it through my puter...

I took one last night of a hyacinth bulb that my friend gave me in December....I had to keep it in the fridge until Jan. 26th...then brought it out & watered.......LOOK what it looks like now!!!!
Still playing around with picture placement........so who knows what this will look like. HAHAHA! I forgot to rotate..............but the photo turned our good.

New photos!

Guess what?! I figured out how to do multiples!...duh...all I had to do was click add another photo. Today I'm going to my "girlie" lunch............and will take some photos with my new phone. My next project is to publish directly to the blog! Now to see what this post looks like, because this part I'm editing in seperately.......

Experiment to see if I can up-load multiple photos

Well, I was happy with the last post!.........But I tried to get multiple photos up and failed. I set the size to large, maybe if I set it at small it would work. Also, the only thing I wasn't happy with was the text spacing around the photo...Haven't a clue how to fool around with that....yet.

So this time I'm going to set the size to small and try to get more that one picture to up-load...(trying a different font also!).......

Well thanx to the preview, I can see that by checking the placement to none, it places the photo in the upper left and then puts the text below..........Next post, I'll try to put a medium photo in the middle & see what happens!

Adding a photo test...

Day 2.............Second post to my blog!

Today I'm going to try to add some digitally enhanced pictures that I made from photos.

They're from a class I took on-line at Scrap Girls.............

Making Kaliedoscope images...........Waaaaaaay cool technique!
